Rotate & Flip

Right angles resize to the final width×height. Free angles expand the canvas; empty corners get transparent or solid fill.

❓ Rotate & Flip Image (FAQ)

Rotate by 90°, 180°, 270° or any angle; flip horizontal/vertical. Everything runs in your browser — nothing is uploaded.

What's the difference between right angle and free angle?

90/180/270° remaps the canvas to the new width×height with no empty corners. Free angles expand to the bounding box, so corners need transparent or color fill.

What do horizontal and vertical flip do?

Horizontal flip mirrors left↔right; vertical flip mirrors top↔bottom. Useful for correcting orientation or testing symmetric layouts.

Why is empty-area fill needed?

Free-angle rotation leaves empty pixels in the corners. PNG/WebP can stay transparent; JPG has no alpha, so a fill color is required.

Which download format should I use?

Choose PNG or WebP for transparency. Use JPG for smaller photo-style files — empty areas will use your fill color.

Is my file uploaded to a server?

No. Rotation, flip, and download all happen locally in your browser; the image is never sent to AllImageLab servers.

Why does the output size change?

At 90°/270°, width and height swap. Free angles grow the canvas to the AABB, so pixel count can increase. The preview size label shows the current dimensions.

Do large images slow down on mobile?

Very high-resolution files use device memory. If it stutters, try a smaller source or compress first, then rotate.

Any tips for text or product photos?

Flip reverses readable text. For products, right angles usually keep a cleaner frame — after a free angle, check that the subject isn't clipped in the preview.

Tip: Right angles refit width×height cleanly. Free angles need transparent or solid fill for empty corners. JPG has no alpha.
