⚡ Quick Remove (M1) — how to use?
Select ⚡ Quick Remove in the right panel. After loading an image, click on the watermark — similar color is auto-selected and removed. Best for flat-color logos (~1 sec). No need to press Remove Watermark.
🖌 Brush (M2) and ⬜ Rectangle (M3) — when?
M2 Brush: Paint the watermark in red, then press 💧 Remove Watermark. M3 Rectangle: Draw a box around the watermark (up to 3), then 💧 Remove Watermark. Result: Telea/NS inpaint fills the gap (~0.5 sec).
🧠 AI Auto (M5) — how does it work?
Select M5 → 💧 Remove Watermark. No manual selection; corners/bottom bands are scanned, then LaMa AI removes if found. If detection fails, try M2 or M3. First AI segmentation may download ~30MB model.
What does 💧 Remove Watermark do?
Starts processing for the selected method (M2–M6). Not used for M1. M6 LaMa: tries browser LaMa first, falls back to server on failure.
Inpainting section A) — which button?
OpenCV/Telea: fast fill (~0.5 sec). LaMa AI: best browser quality (512px quality or 256px fast mode). PatchMatch/FFT: experimental. Draw mask with M2/M3 first, then ✨ Apply Inpaint or 🤖 Apply LaMa AI.
Inpainting B) Send to Server?
Sends mask to server (LaMa/MAT/SD/OpenCV label). Real LaMa if Python AI service is configured; otherwise GD fallback (log: engine=gd_bfs). Mask required first (M2/M3).
Best combination for quality?
Flat logo: M1. Complex text: M2 + LaMa AI (512). Large watermark: M3 + Send to Server. Automatic: M5. Speed: M2 + Telea/NS. Quality: M2 + LaMa AI Quality mode.
Browser LaMa WASM/CPU badge meaning?
Debug badge shows YOUR BROWSER, not the server. Without WebGPU, LaMa takes ~1–2 min on CPU. Server inpaint is separate. WebGPU needs Chrome/Edge + physical GPU.
📦 Batch processing?
Right panel 📦 Batch → select multiple JPG/PNG/WebP → Batch Remove. Auto-detect + fast inpaint per file, separate PNG downloads (max 40 files).
How do I remove a watermark?
Upload the image, pick a method (Quick Remove for flat logos; Brush or Rectangle for complex marks), then tap Remove Watermark if needed. Processing stays in your browser; files are not uploaded. For PDF marks, rasterize the page first, then use this tool.
Can I remove a watermark from a PDF?
This tool targets image watermarks (JPG/PNG/WebP). For PDF watermarks, export the page as a high-res image, remove the mark here, then rebuild the PDF. Only use content you own or have rights to edit.
