This tool adjusts white balance and color casts on a single image directly in your browser using Temperature (blue↔yellow), Tint (green↔magenta), Shadows, and Highlights controls. Your image is not uploaded to any server; everything happens on your device. You can export in the same format you uploaded (JPG/PNG/WebP/BMP).

Where does the processing happen? Is there any server upload?

All processing happens in your browser. Your image is not sent to a server and is not stored. Performance depends on your device and image resolution.

What does Temperature change?

Temperature shifts the image warmer (yellow/orange) or cooler (blue). It can neutralize overly warm indoor lighting or add warmth to images that look too blue (shade/cloudy scenes).

What does Tint do?

Tint balances the green↔magenta axis. It helps correct green casts common in fluorescent lighting, or reduce excessive magenta/purple casts by moving toward green.

What do Shadows and Highlights controls affect?

Shadows mainly affects darker areas, while Highlights targets brighter areas. This lets you correct color casts in specific tonal ranges without shifting the entire image too aggressively.

What does the Auto White Balance button do?

Auto WB analyzes the image and automatically sets Temperature and Tint (and optionally other sliders) closer to a neutral balance. Manual fine-tuning afterward usually gives the best result.

How do Before/After and Undo/Redo work?

Before/After toggles between the original and edited result. Undo/Redo steps through your changes (history states) so you can revert or reapply adjustments.

What’s the difference between Reset and Restore Original?

Reset returns sliders to their default values. Restore Original discards edits and returns to the original image as the base so you can start over.

Which formats are supported, and why only these 4?

This FREE (browser) tool supports the most stable formats: JPG, PNG, WebP, and BMP. Formats like AVIF/TIFF/PSD are not guaranteed across browsers/devices and are better handled on PRO/server side.

Why can the output file size increase? When does the quality control appear?

The output is re-encoded in the browser, so size can change depending on content and format. Lossless PNG may increase in size. The quality slider is mainly relevant for lossy formats like JPG/WebP.

Any recommended workflow for best results?

1) Start with Auto WB, 2) Set Temperature for warm/cool balance, 3) Adjust Tint to remove green/magenta casts, 4) Refine Shadows/Highlights for targeted correction, 5) Use Before/After and finish with small, natural tweaks.

Tip: Start with Temperature and Tint for global balance, then fine-tune Shadows/Highlights. Extreme values can distort skin tones.

1) Why is color balancing so critical?

Color accuracy is just as important as resolution for perceived image quality. Especially in product photos, food/cosmetic visuals, or brand assets, color shifts (too yellow, too blue, green casts) can create distrust. Color balance fixes lighting-based shifts and makes images feel natural.

2) The most common issue: white balance

Indoor lighting often shifts warm/yellow; cloudy scenes and shadows can shift blue. If something that should be white (shirt, wall, paper) doesn’t look white, the whole photo feels off. The first goal is simple: neutral areas should look neutral. Once corrected, colors automatically feel more realistic.

3) Quick check: skin tones and gray areas

  • Skin tone: Human eyes detect skin-tone shifts instantly. If faces turn green/purple, balance is wrong.
  • Gray areas: If gray (asphalt, metals, shadows) looks “colored,” there’s a cast.
  • Background: On white-background product images, casts are obvious.

4) Professional approach: small steps

The most common mistake is over-correcting in one move. That makes the photo look plastic and uncomfortable. Best approach: adjust in small steps and constantly check the overall feel. The goal is not “popping colors,” but getting closer to reality.
